This is a great climb to warm up for the season and for beginners. There is a well travelled ascent trail on the north face on the on lookers right of the "heart". Many will hike this trail look around at the top and then turn around. A second option is the very simple ridge traverse that takes you for a C shaped ridge top hike over three prominence's before descending down a less travelled but simple tail back to the highway. I highly recommend this option as at points you can view barrier lake and the Kananaskis valley.
Being only 45 minutes from Calgary and 15 minutes from Canmore it is a wonderful climb for a short day.
