Die Hütte befindet sich auf dem Grat, der das Valle del Trodo mit dem Valle di Duragno verbindet, und damit auf der Grenze zwischen Sopraceneri und Sottoceneri. Ursprünglich eine Militärunterkunft aus dem Ersten Weltkrieg, die aber mehrmals modernisiert wurde und in einem tadellosen Zustand ist. Die Betten in den drei kleinen Massenlagern sind mit Bettdecken und Kissen ausgestattet. Die Hütte ist von Anfang Juni bis Ende Oktober bewartet.
