Tutaekuri Hut Guide

- Facilities: Tutaekuri Hut is positioned at about 371 m above sea level in the Ahaura River–Lake Brunner catchment, managed by the Department of Conservation. Built in 2008 to replace an earlier shelter, it offers six bunks, basic heating, mattresses and a non‑flush toilet, with tap water that must be boiled. Access is via a frequently washed‑out 4×4 track or a 45‑minute detour from the Elizabeth Hut Route.
