Born in 1912 as painter Enrico Scarpa’s atelier and later expanded by engineer Ohannés Gurekian, it now offers 28 bunks plus 9 emergency beds, warm showers, electricity and a welcoming restaurant. Managed by Alessandro Marinello under CAI Agordo, it’s a scenic base for hikes, climbs and ferratas.

It stands on a promontory just above Malga Losch. The century-old refuge is named after its original owner, the painter E. Scarpa, and the Armenian engineer O. Gurekian. It can be reached via easy paths and offers traditional cuisine and around thirty guest beds.
