  • Facilities: Rifugio Citelli Salvatore is positioned at about 1, 740 m on the scenic rim of Monte Concazza, Etna’s ancient crater. Built in 1935 by Prof. Salvatore Citelli and gifted to the CAI Catania section, it was fully renovated in 2012 under Etna Park’s stewardship. The modest lodge offers 13 beds, a welcoming restaurant and modern comforts, and is reachable by car via a paved road.

It is located on the northeastern slopes of Mount Etna, atop Mount Concazza, on an old crater dating back to ancient eruptions over 3,000 years ago. Surrounded by a birch forest, the refuge has only 13 beds and 32 seats in the restaurant. Its strong point is its quality family cuisine.
