Reinsvassbu – Climbing, Hiking & Mountaineering information

Reinsvassbu is a hub in DNT's cabin and grid network with marked trails to four cabins. The cabin is located at the west end of Reinsvatnet, about 900 meters above sea level, in open terrain surrounded by mountain peaks at 17-1800 meters. There are 10 beds and 6 extra mattresses in the cabin. The cabin is a gem for mountain people who want to get away from the main traffic in the Sunndalsfjella mountains. The landscape is very green and lush around the cabin itself, and then the alpine peaks tower up and create a beautiful contrast. Reinsvassbu is located in what can be called the divide between the mild east and the alpine west with pointed peaks and exciting peaks.
