Hovinkoia – Climbing, Hiking & Mountaineering information

Hovinkoia is located in the southeastern part of Holleia on a promontory in Setertjern. The terrain is easy and the area is not very visited. Here there are good opportunities for peaceful walks in forest terrain. You don't have to go further away from the city to get a great nature experience. In summer it is wonderful to boat, row or fish from the promontory right outside the hut. In late summer and autumn there are lots of berries and in the winter there are nice ski tracks right past Hovinkoia and you can go on nice ski trips in the area. From the parking lot and into the hut, there is a nice path in summer, this is also usually a well-trodden ski trail in winter. In winter you can also ski into Hovinkoia when the trails are finished.
