Gjendebu is beautifully situated at the innermost end of Gjende, right in the heart of Jotunheimen. It is DNT's oldest tourist cabin, built in 1871 and thus celebrates its 150th anniversary in 2021. The cabin has been expanded and rebuilt many times, and today has modern facilities.
