Wheeler Peak is the highest peak located entirely within Nevada. It is an isolated mountain rising above the Great Basin in the Great Basin National Park, near the Utah border. Its east face forms a steep rock cirque which holds a small glacier. Another peak of similar height goes by the same name in New Mexico.
