The access trail to the cabin from Stechelberg in the Lauterbrunnen valley with its fixed ropes and ladders is challenging. Visitors to the traditional cabin are impressed by the view of Rottalgletscher, up towards Jungfrau and Rottalsattel and into the steep glaciered face of Äbeni Flue. Equally impressive and extraordinary are the high alpine ascents to Jungfrau via Innere Rottalgrat or to Äbeni Flue via Stufestei glacier.
