Walk up
Mount Spokane is the most southerly peak in the Selkirk Chain, and features stands of old-growth timber and granite outcroppings. Mount Spokane State Park receives 300 inches of snow per year, and has been a popular ski area since 1950, featuring groomed Nordic ski trails and snowmobile trails, all of which are multi-use after the snow melts. There is an Avista house on the summit that is only open during skiing season. Climbing the mountain is a fun hike, with good huckleberry picking along the route.
