The Mt Lyell massif - peaks and icefield - from Mt. Forbes' summit with Columbia Icefield peaks on the horizon (Mts Bryce, King Edward, Columbia looking like a part of Lyell 3, South Twin and North Twin. The 5 peaks on Mt. Lyell (named in 1858) were named (in 1972) after Swiss Guides and are: L1 - Rudolf Peak, L2 - Edward Peak, L3 - Ernest Peak, L4 - Walter Peak and L5 - Christian Peak. Lyell 2 is the highest, though some maps identify central Lyell 3 as "Mt. Lyell".
