Walk up
Calling this peak a "hill" is misleading, given its height and the fact that its separation from other high peaks in the area afford tremendous views of northern New Mexico and of Colorado in the distance. Start at the Taos Ski basin and take either trail 63 or 64 to the summit. 63 is steeper, but shorter. A loop can be made using one of them for the ascent, and the other to descend. This is an easy, but rewarding trip that features alpine tundra, an abandoned cabin, plentiful water, and wonderful views.
