Scramble
Bad weather was keeping me on scrambles versus alpine climbs in 2004. Eiffel is a short objective that can be done in less than desirable weather. I rate it on the easy side of the moderates. Park at the Moraine Lake parking lot;and proceed up the Larch Valley Trail. When you top out into the valley, you will come into view of Temple, Pinnacle and Eiffel to the northwest. Eiffel is the furtherest left. Work your way along the winding Larch Valley Trail until you come upon an unmarked trail on your left that leads to a treed ridge that heads up Eiffel. You will make an immediate creek crossing and continue up to the shoulder of the ridge and find yourself above tree line at 8000'. This scramble is well marked by cairns and I found it extremely straight forward despite snow and low visibility. You must work your way through several rock bands, contouring left at several of the larger obstacles. The last bit was post holing with ice axe up a steep snow gully to the summit. It took me 3 hours from car to summit.
