Bears Breast Mountain is located in the scenic Alpine Lakes Wilderness, or about 55 miles east of Seattle, Washington. Bears Breast Mountain is situated southwest of Mts. Daniel and Hinman, and is approximately midway between Snoqualmie Pass and Stevens Pass on the Cascade Crest. Bears Breast Mountain has a jagged rocky summit with several other craggy spires along the spine of the massif which straddles the King County - Kittitas County boundary line. Refer to Fred Beckey's Cascade Alpine Guide Climbing and High Routes, Volume 1, for information on the established route on the Southwest Face of Bears Breast Mountain.
