The Anai Mudi is the highest peak in the Cardamom Hills in Kerala, India, in the southern region of Eravikulam National Park.. It is located 10°10'N 77°4'E. At a height of 2,695 meters (8,842 feet, it is the highest elevation in South India. Anai Mudi peak is situated in Idukki District of Kerala State.The peak belongs to Munnar Panchayat. Anaimudi peak is also a part of the Western Ghats.According to Locals this is the peak of serenity, tranquility & adventure.Among the exotic flora found in the forests and grasslands is the Nelelakurinji, the flower that bathes the hills in blue every twelve years will bloom next 2006 AD. Eravikulam National park is another attraction. Munnar is 130 km east of Kochi and 70 km north of Kumily.
