Walk up
The prominent peak directly south of Mt. Blackmore (behind Mt. Blackmore, as seen from Bozeman) at the end of Cottonwood Canyon. Previously known as Peak 10,031, now officially called Alex Lowe Peak in memory of the great climber/mountaineer who, together with Hans Saari, first skied the challenging Hellmouth Coulior on the peak's north side. Not to be confused with the Hellmouth Coulior, a much larger chute also descends the north face of the peak just west of Hellmouth Coulior. The summit can be reached either by ascending this coulior (more difficult), or by traversing the east ridgeline.
