Salbitschijen West ridge, 35 pitches of challenging ridge climbing, one of the best of its kind in the Alps: the starting point to these granite towers is the shelter on the way from the Voralp cabin to the Salbit cabin connected by the alpine suspension bridge. The small and simple shelter is for self-caterers only; in high summer and autumn even water must be carried up. The area with its view to the glaciated Damma range and to Sustenhorn is considered a natural power place.
