Cabane de Louvie – Climbing, Hiking & Mountaineering information

The hut is perched above a small lake, at an altitude of 2250 meters, in the heart of a nature reserve full of stories and tradition, populated by ibex, marmots and chamois, It's a 4 hours walk from Verbier or 2 hours from Fionnay. The Cabane de Louvie, at its present location, has existed since 1997. The current building replaced the old workers barracks, which were built to accommodate those employed in the construction of the Louvie dam.
