This is a photo of Mitre Peak in mid winter conditions. In fact only a day later 2 people lost their lives about 15 kilometres away and in the same mountain group due to very bad weather conditions. This photo is taken from Jumbo ridge. In good weather and snow conditions iy=t would take about 5 hours to reach Mitre Peak - in the distance - from here.
