Description
The Gross Furkahorn is located about 2 Km north of Furkapass. It is a granite peak with three main ridges and a summit of three spectacular towers, the most easterly of which is the highest. The ESE Ridge (IV+) is the most popular summit route. The Wandfussplatten (plates at the wall foot) on the south side of the peak have over 40 sport climbing routes ranging in difficulty from 4+ to 7+.
