You should use the current altitudes of the camps (editor replies: thank you, we have change the weather forecasts to these altitudes as you have suggested).
Veguitas is at 3200m. Veguitas Superior is at 3400. From Veguitas Superior you are just in front of Mount Stepanek (4180m)and Mount Calle (4270m). The entire path is marked.
Also, you can get by car up to 3000m, and you can choose between many shelters, at 2800, 29000 and 3000m.

Stepanek peak is in a zone called Vallecitos, in the Plata mountain range, at 80 km from Mendoza Capital. You can go by car up to 2800m. There are many mountain shelters and cotages where you can eat and rest for 10 uss, breakfast included. Then you start to walk. There area to place where you could make your base camp at 3100 (veguitas), and 3200 (veguitas superiores) at the base of Stepanek peak (2 or 3 hours from the shelters).
